Build for Breast Cancer Raffle Tickets Available

breast-cancer-bike2 Texas Custom Choppers of Austin, Texas is seeking partners to build a bike to benefit a local breast cancer patient, The Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas and The Susan Komen Foundation for the Cure. Funds will be raised through both donations and a raffle with options to donate or purchase tickets online, at our shop and at the locations where the bike will be displayed throughout 2009/2010. The drawing for the Custom Chopper will be held at the Republic of Texas Rally in 2010.

Currently The Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas and many of the major motorcycle builders, suppliers and magazines have expressed interest in helping to build and promote this benefit.

breast-cancer-bike The build will have the basic lines of our TCC Softail Chopper with the goal of the build being to produce a motorcycle that is distinct, yet practical. We have no intention of producing a bike that is so unwieldy that the average rider would take no joy in ownership.

We have set the price of the raffle tickets at $20.00 each and determined that the raffle funds will be distributed at 50% to the local recipient, 25% to The Breast Cancer Resource Center and 25% to The Susan Komen Foundation for the Cure. All unanticipated expense will be funded through private donations and sponsors and any remaining funds will be distributed in the same percentages as the raffle funds.

The current progress in this project is; Graphic Artist Matt Fobian has produced the included color rendition of the final build. Firm commitments for parts and or labor have come from Texas Custom Choppers, Dakota Digital, Choppers Inc, Headwinds, S&S Cycle and Royal Purple.
